Job Description:
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Surveyor to perform and supervise all land and construction surveying activities on a utility-scale photovoltaic project. You will ensure accurate site measurements, topographic data, layout positioning, and as-built verification to support engineering, civil works, and installation activities throughout the construction phase.
The role is critical to ensuring the project is executed according to design specifications, technical standards, and quality requirements.
Main Responsibilities
Site Surveying & Layout
- Perform topographic, boundary, and construction surveys across the project site
- Establish and verify control points, benchmarks, and reference systems
- Set out locations for roads, foundations, mounting structures, inverter stations, substations, and cable routes
- Ensure accurate alignment and positioning of civil and electrical works
Construction Support
- Support EPC teams with field measurements and technical survey data
- Verify contractor works against approved engineering drawings and project specifications
- Assist with excavation levels, grading, and leveling control
- Provide as-built measurements and documentation during construction progress
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure all surveying activities comply with project standards, technical specifications, and local regulations
- Identify deviations and report discrepancies to the Construction Manager
- Support quality inspections and site acceptance processes
- Maintain calibration and proper use of surveying instruments and equipment
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare survey reports, topographic maps, layout drawings, and as-built documentation
- Maintain accurate records of survey data and field measurements
- Coordinate with Engineering, Design, and QA/QC teams for technical alignment
- Support preparation of handover documentation and final project records
Candidate Profile
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying Engineering, Geodesy, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in construction surveying, preferably in infrastructure, energy, or renewable projects
- Experience with large-scale construction projects; utility-scale solar is a strong advantage
- Strong knowledge of land surveying principles and construction layout practices
- Good understanding of civil works, grading, foundations, and infrastructure layout
- Familiarity with cadastral and construction regulations
- Proficiency in surveying software and AutoCAD
- Hands-on experience with total stations, GPS, laser levels, and other survey equipment
- Fluent Romanian and working knowledge of English
- Valid driver's license (Category B)

- Experience in photovoltaic projects
- Relevant professional certification or authorization in surveying
