Quality Technician – Solar Power Plant Project

Job Description:

We are looking for a Quality Technician to support quality control activities at the construction site in Arad.

This is a hands-on technical role, ideal for someone detail-oriented who wants to develop their career in quality management within the renewable energy sector.

Main Responsibilities

Quality Control Inspections

  • Perform daily quality inspections on civil, electrical, and mechanical works according to Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
  • Verify that construction activities are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and method statements
  • Witness hold point and witness point inspections, documenting results and obtaining required sign-offs
  • Inspect incoming materials and equipment for compliance with technical specifications and quality standards
  • Monitor workmanship quality and identify deviations from approved standards

Testing and Verification

  • Witness and document material testing: concrete cube tests, soil compaction tests, cable insulation tests, and other required tests
  • Verify calibration status of testing and measurement equipment used on site
  • Support third-party inspections and testing activities
  • Coordinate with laboratories and testing agencies for sample collection and result reporting

Documentation and Records

  • Prepare inspection reports, checklists, and quality records for all inspected activities
  • Maintain organized quality documentation files including ITPs, inspection records, NCRs, and material certificates
  • Support preparation of quality dossiers and handover documentation for project close-out
  • Update quality tracking logs and databases as required

Non-Conformance Management

  • Identify and report non-conformances, defects, and deviations from approved specifications
  • Document non-conformance reports (NCRs) with clear descriptions, photographic evidence, and supporting information
  • Support root cause analysis and follow up on corrective and preventive actions
  • Maintain the NCR register and track status of open items

Coordination

  • Coordinate with construction supervisors, contractors, and subcontractors to schedule inspections
  • Participate in daily coordination meetings and provide quality status updates
  • Liaise with Procurement and Warehouse teams to verify material compliance upon delivery

Candidate Profile

Required

  • Technical diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical) or Quality Management
  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance, preferably in construction, energy, or industrial projects
  • Familiarity with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), quality control procedures, and construction standards
  • Knowledge of material testing methods and inspection techniques for civil and electrical works
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 quality management system principles
  • Attention to detail with strong observational and documentation skills
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel)
  • Basic knowledge of English (written and spoken)
  • Availability to work full-time on the construction site in Grăniceri, Arad
